One of South Africa’s most celebrated athletes, Mokgadi Caster Semenya, has obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Sport Management from the Tshwane University of Technology during the June virtual graduation ceremony on Tuesday, 1 June 2021.

Caster Semenya obtains Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Management.

Semenya enrolled to study at TUT in 2018 and further signed a deal as a sports ambassador for the University.

A two-time olympic gold medalist and three-time world champion, Semenya took to social media to celebrate her graduation milestone. “Today is my big day, even though I won’t be walking on the graduation stage due to the virtual arrangement, it is still a priceless moment,” said Semenya.

The 30-year-old athlete holds the South African women’s records over every distance from 400m to 1,500m. She is currently working tirelessly to qualify for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics in the 5,000m event.

The University wishes Caster Semenya all the best in her future endeavours.
